Merlin is a shining example of what it means to be a “working dog in miniature.” Owned and handled by Samantha Finch, this striking and soulful Chihuahua is as versatile as he is devoted. With titles in Trick Dog Novice (TKN), Virtual Scent Work Beginner (VSWB), and advanced barn hunting (RATN, HRAT), Merlin is well on his way to demonstrating the full scope of what Chihuahuas are capable of achieving.

Currently in training as Samantha’s service dog, Merlin is excelling under professional guidance. His trainers—seasoned in preparing successful service animals—have praised his focus, drive, and potential. With more public access work and additional virtual titles and a BCAT planned for the summer, Merlin’s journey is just beginning.
