NI dogs are proportionally identical to II dogs
The most important finding in the study. NI dogs average 1.4cm taller than II dogs, but their leg-to-height ratio is identical at 0.483. The N allele is not making legs disproportionately long. It is allowing the whole frame to be slightly taller while maintaining the same structural balance. This directly challenges the assumption that NI compromises correct Chihuahua type.
